For Eros Jezreel C. Gacutan-Ng, Certified Human Resource Professional, HR is not just about managing policies—it’s about designing systems that empower people and scale with business needs.
As Head of People & Talent Strategy at Annexion Partners, Eros oversees full-spectrum HR operations across Southeast Asia. Her work spans recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, payroll, compensation and benefits, engagement, compliance, and HR tech. But what drives her isn’t the breadth—it’s the architecture behind it.
“I’m passionate about building HR frameworks that create clarity, efficiency, and momentum—not just for the company, but for the people working within it,” she told Financial Adviser PH.
Her favorite areas? Talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational design. Whether it’s matching the right candidate to the right role or creating scalable learning systems, her approach is strategic and deeply human.
“I believe HR should help people grow in the direction of the business. When you align those two things—individual purpose and company goals—that’s where the magic happens,” she said.
Eros leads with empathy, transparency, and a deep respect for the individual. Her policies aren’t just compliant—they’re crafted with well-being, flexibility, and empowerment in mind.
“Culture isn’t built on posters or perks—it’s built on trust and daily interactions. My job is to make sure that structure supports that, not stifles it,” she added.
She also finds fulfillment in the ripple effect of her work—seeing people succeed because of systems, support, or opportunities she helped put in place.
“There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone thrive in a role, knowing the framework you helped build played a part in that success,” she said.
In a rapidly evolving HR landscape, Eros is excited by the rise of digital transformation, AI integration, and flexible work models. Yet she believes the foundation remains the same.
“Tech changes, structures evolve, but the goal stays: create environments where people can do their best work and grow in the process,” she said.
Whether she’s coaching teams, implementing new tech, or writing policy, Eros approaches HR with one goal in mind: helping people and businesses grow—together.
