For Hanah Beth Manalaysay, a Certified Human Resource Professional, the rapid evolution of work—from artificial intelligence and remote collaboration to rising demands for diversity and inclusion—isn’t something to resist. It’s something to lead. But her strategy isn’t rooted in tech—it’s rooted in people.
“The most fulfilling part of being an HR professional is knowing that I have the privilege of positively impacting people’s lives—both in small, everyday ways and in the larger, more transformative moments,” Hanah told Financial Adviser PH. “Whether it’s helping someone navigate a career transition or fostering an environment where employees feel safe, valued, and supported, the ability to make a difference is incredibly rewarding.”
Hanah has seen firsthand how HR is no longer just a support function—it’s a driver of change. And as the headwinds of digital transformation, hybrid work, and shifting workforce expectations accelerate, she’s committed to one principle above all: putting people first.
“HR is at the intersection of people, culture, and strategy—and when all three align, that’s when magic happens,” she said.
One of the most exciting shifts she’s embraced is the rise of human-centered, data-driven practices. In her eyes, the future of HR is not about choosing between empathy and analytics—it’s about integrating both.
“Technology is revolutionizing how we work—from HRIS to AI-powered recruitment tools. These platforms allow us to focus less on admin and more on creating meaningful employee experiences,” she explained. “But it’s not just about automation—it’s about using data to guide decisions that are still deeply human.”
Hanah is also passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)—not just as a program, but as a mindset embedded into daily decisions.
“It’s not enough to just have diverse teams; it’s about ensuring equitable opportunities and fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive,” she said. “That requires humility, ongoing effort, and the willingness to listen.”
Her leadership was especially tested—and sharpened—by the shift to remote and hybrid work. While it offers more flexibility and access to global talent, she acknowledges the challenge of maintaining culture, connection, and well-being from a distance.
“The rise of hybrid work brings incredible opportunities, but it also forces us to rethink how we build connection and maintain engagement,” Hanah shared. “HR now needs to be more creative and proactive than ever.”
Part of her readiness to navigate this complex environment comes from her CHRP journey. Sponsored by one of their partner organizations, Hanah attended the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) program—an experience that deepened her foundation and elevated her perspective.
“The CHRP program gave me a solid grounding in HR best practices, from legal compliance to organizational development,” she said. “It helped me sharpen my strategy, build confidence, and connect with a network of HR professionals who share the same passion.”
For Hanah, pursuing certification wasn’t about chasing a title—it was about changing perceptions.
“I wanted to prove that HR isn’t just about paperwork—it’s about shaping strategy, driving culture, and making an impact that lasts,” she said. “The CHRP helped me do that—with both the knowledge and the credibility to back it up.”
As the HR landscape continues to evolve, Hanah remains focused on what truly matters: building workplaces where people can thrive.
“HR can drive change, foster growth, and support individuals in unlocking their potential,” she reflected. “At the end of the day, that’s what makes this work meaningful—and it’s why I’m proud to be part of it.”
