For Zorayda “Dada” Rosanes, Associate Financial Planner and Executive Vice Chairman at International Marketing Group (IMG), career growth doesn’t require perfection—it requires movement.
In an interview with Financial Adviser PH, Rosanes shared what she tells every aspiring leader and young professional searching for clarity: “Start small, stay consistent, and trust the journey.”
It’s simple advice—but powerful in practice. Rosanes believes too many people get stuck overanalyzing their next move instead of just taking the first step. Whether in financial education, entrepreneurship, or personal development, she says the key to growth lies in daily action rooted in purpose.
“Growth is not about speed—it’s about steady progress fueled by purpose and determination,” Rosanes explained.
Her own journey in IMG is a testament to this mindset. She started with no financial background, commuting four hours each day between Alfonso, Cavite and Makati just to learn and grow in the industry. Despite the distance, setbacks, and steep learning curve, she moved forward anyway—one step at a time.
For Dada, growth isn’t just about credentials or big breaks. It’s about staying coachable, open to learning, and committed to the process. “Be coachable,” she advises. “You may be smart in your field outside IMG… but this is a different ballgame.”
But perhaps most important is her belief in beginning even when things don’t feel perfect. “Don’t overthink the process or wait for perfect conditions,” she said. That mentality has helped her not only grow a business, but also build leaders who go on to empower others.
Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, career-shifter, or someone afraid to take that first step, Rosanes’ advice is clear: don’t wait—just start.
Success, she reminds us, isn’t found in hesitation—it’s found in consistency, humility, and the willingness to move forward, one step at a time.
